Alainn Tours was born from a lasting attachment to Celtic lands, their wind-swept landscapes and that simple hospitality lived more than told. It all began with a flat tire on a Saturday afternoon in Ireland, and the discovery of a human warmth that stays with you.

The agency was founded in 1991 in Sligo, in the northwest of the island, by Corine and Bernard. Both met as students in Sligo in the late 1980s, captivated by the raw beauty of the west coast and by the warmth of its people. For over three decades, Alainn Tours has designed English-speaking trips across Ireland, Scotland, and Wales from this anchor point, remaining committed to a human-scale approach.

Today, Corine and Bernard lead a team of around twenty people based in Sligo. Alongside them, Jillian, a native of the county, shares her knowledge of the territory and trip organization; Fabienne tells the story of Kerry and the distinctive light of the west coast; Jackie, who came to study accounting, has never left this region; Niamh, between Dublin and the North, oversees family itineraries. Manon, Violaine, Emmanuel and Juan complete this passionate collective.
